Survivors and witnesses stated that the supermarket’s doors were intentionally closed to prevent customers from leaving without paying The two trials against the responsible people are reported on this documentary which strongly reveals Paraguay’s social disruption.

After 35 years under Stroessner dictatorship and 17 of power and corruption lead by the Colorado Party (the only one allowed after the democratic transition), Fernando Lugo, a former bishop who ran for President, represents the hope to build a better future.
Internationally recognised as activist for Human Rights and discoverer of the Archives of Terror, Martin Almada leads a lonely and exasperated battle to expose the links between the old dictatorial system and the current corrupted democracy.
Guillermina Kanonnikoff, courageous activist and General Secretary of the Tekojoja Movement, accompanies Fernando Lugo in his path until the elections on April 20th.
Through the lives of these characters we discover a tragic and unknown side of Paraguay’s history, a nation which now seems to have all it takes to change its course.

Ogwa is a Paraguayan artist whose name reports of his origins as son of an Indian Chamacoco and fighter of the Chaco War. This documentary is a brief portrait of this man who acted as a link between two cultures graphically conveying the myths and traditions of the Chamacocos oral tradition. Ogwa’s testimony alternastes with other peolple’s ones. These people had the chance to meet him.
The documentary ends with a trip to Bahia Negra in the Chaco, where Ogwa’s community and family live. Then the myth takes human forms and we can glimpse the difficulties and conflicts that a man with a peculiar destiny had to face.
